Monthly submissions will also be entered into community newsletter for those who do not have nternet access. As always, if you have any items or concerns that need to be addressed through Chief & Council please contact me so that I can arrange to have you placed on the agenda. Communications
Greenlane
Council has met with Oneida in regards to Greenlane and are currently puttng the finishing touches on a by-law that will create a First Nations Community Trust. The Trust is designed to enable the City of Toronto (Owners of Greenlane) to provide funding to assist both Oneida & Chippewa with the environmental impacts of the landfill. Thus, creating a Community Trust between the two nations.
Community Water Supply
Council is aware of community water supply and the discoloration of the water. Council has been working steadily, trying to gain funding in order to fix the problem. At this time, fnding has only been secured to clean and re-paint the tower. All community water issues need to be logged by our water department and these can be done thought phone messages 519 289 9427 or by email: waterdept@cottfn.ca
These logs are important and needed in order for Council to lobby for more funding.
